The post holder will be a member of the SLMS School Finance team, providing accounting support to the 4 Faculties in the School which will include assistance with the presentation of quarterly/monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and statistical returns. The post holder will report to the Management Accountant for the Faculty of Medical Sciences and work closely with other members of the team to provide support across the School. While the work will primarily be focussed on one Faculty the post holder is expected to be flexible in providing support across the Schools undertaking a variety of accounting duties in a busy office environment, working independently whilst exercising judgement to prioritise tasks in order to meet the deadlines set.
The post holder will be actively studying towards an accountancy qualification, with excellent interpersonal skills. An advanced knowledge of Excel and good all round knowledge of other Microsoft Office software is essential. The post holder should be organised, efficient, flexible, and supportive with good time management skills. This role will require excellent people and communication skills and will need to work well within a team.
