Detail information about job Project Manager - A2i. Terms and conditions vacancy
South Bank University Enterprise Ltd, the enterprise company of London South Bank University, is looking for a Project Manager (PM) within its Research, Enterprise and Innovation Department (REI) on a 3.5 fixed term contract.
REI activities cover a range of income generating activities and also support wider entrepreneurial activity and external engagement between business, staff and students.
The current post provides an exciting opportunity to join Institute of Sustainable Communities, an interdisciplinary and inter-professional centre of excellence working towards improving the environmental impact of communities and regions. The Institute combines a number of expert disciplines across LSBU in a single unit, helping foster novel collaborations, partnerships and innovative research and enterprise activities.
The PM, supported by a Research and Enterprise Support Officer, will be responsible for the successful delivery of an established EU funded project. The project aims are to support SMEs in developing new products, services and systems which will reduce CO2 emissions, with a focus on the Greater London area. The role will require close working with academic Schools, technicians and at times external organisations to ensure projects are delivered to contract and achieve all desired objectives.
The candidate will have Project Management experience, ideally in the low carbon sector with experience of delivering projects, creating and managing client relationships, identifying resources to deliver, financial management, and supporting the development of project proposals. It is also important that you have experience of appraising the commercial viability of start-ups and new product launches.
You will be part of a large, wider, team but must also be able to work independently. You will have strong organisation and inter personal skills with an ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
Other desirable attributes
Strong technical skills base, with high numeracy, analytical and IT skills, in addition to good written and document design skills.
Experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Good project management and organisational skills and attention to detail, not only managing activity in line with agreed outcomes, but going beyond this to identify areas for improvement.
Flexible approach to work with the ability to prioritise complex workloads and manage changing priorities, whilst maintaining high standards of quality.
