Detail information about job Research Associate in Histology Reconstruction. Terms and conditions vacancy
This project aims to construct a next-generation computational atlas of the human brain using ex vivo samples (histology, ex vivo MRI), along with companion tools that apply the atlas to the automated segmentation of in vivo scans in neuroimaging studies.
The post-holder will develop automated or semi-automated methods for the reconstruction of the histological data, by taking advantage of heterogeneous sources of information (e.g., existing lower-resolution probabilistic atlases, manual segmentation, MRI scans).
The post is funded for two years in the first instance.
Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent research experience in biomedical analysis; and should have an Upper Second Honour Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable subject.
