Detail information about job Statistical Research Assistant/Fellow in Palliative Care. Terms and conditions vacancy
Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in applied health research and statistical analysis? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
You will undertake statistical analysis of the Office of National Statistics National Survey of Bereaved People (VOICES) to identify risk factors for poor end of life care, supervised by Dr Cheryl Craigs and Professor Mike Bennett.
The VOICES data represent end-of-life experiences of deceased adults in England collected using a questionnaire sent to a random sample of family members or friends who registered the death. Currently five years of data are available (2011 to 2015), representing over 110,000 records.
You will take the lead in the development of the analyses and writing reports for publication. You will have a first degree and ideally a PhD (or close to completion) in statistical analysis and have experience of analysis of health related datasets.
