Teaching and Learning Support (TLS) aims to impact positively on the student experience through offering staff support and resources to develop their practice. This includes supporting, advising and giving guidance to assist the development of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment, providing a comprehensive set of resources and delivering accredited programmes.
We have a vacancy for a part time (0.7fte) Educational Developer to support the full range of academic and professional development activities including teaching on CPD courses and the Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) programme. With a higher degree and preferably having undertaken an accredited course in teaching and learning in higher education, you will be an excellent teacher who is able to demonstrate flair, flexibility and self-confidence. You will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills appropriate to the academic community, be able to work using your own initiative, set and work effectively to deadlines and be a creative thinker able to bring your own ideas and suggestions to the team. You will also have experience of teaching or supporting learning in higher education, as well as an understanding of the theory and practice of learning and teaching in higher education. Expertise in pedagogic research would be advantageous.
This is a part Time position working 25.9 hours per week and is Fixed Term to cover a period of Maternity Leave which is anticipated to be for approximately 1 year.
