Salary: £26,650 - £27,850 per annum

Applications are invited for the position of Research Technician, to work with Dr Claudio Raimondi in the Vascular Science Section at NHLI.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to provide technical support to Dr Claudio Raimondi and his team. A major interest of the group is the transmembrane protein Neuropilin-1 and its role in endothelial homeostasis and vascular diseases. Under the overall direction and supervision of the line manager, you will gain experience and extend your knowledge in endothelial cell biology, cell signalling, imaging techniques and analysis of vascular phenotypes in mouse model. In addition to research support, the duties include ordering laboratory supplies.

You should have a qualification in a biological subject at least at BSc level or equivalent vocational qualification or relevant laboratory based experience. It is essential to have laboratory experience in the field of molecular biology and/or cellular biology and experience in handling of mice. Experience of laboratory safety procedures, compliance with health and safety protocols and to application of these in the discharge of duties is also important.

The post is full-time fixed-term up for 2 years and based at the Hammersmith Campus, located in East Acton.
