Job Purpose

You will contribute to a project in the area of GaN on Silicon Electronics working with Professor Iain Thayne. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in the use of micro- and nanofabrication techniques for the realisation of advanced compound semiconductor devices. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.Standard Terms & Conditions

Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 6, £28,098 - £31,604 per annum.This position is fixed term until 28 February 2018.New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme.
