FTE: This is a full time positon working 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
Duration of Contract: 1 year fixed term contract
We are seeking applications from individuals with teaching expertise in the area of biological psychology/neuropsychology. The post holder will deliver and assess biological psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level, on topics such as the biological basis of vision; movement and/or attention; brain development and plasticity; and biological psychology methods. The post holder will also deliver and assess cognitive neuroscience or neuropsychology on a range of topics such as the history, development and methods of neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience; neuropsychological disorders; and other, relevant topics in cognitive neuropsychology. Additionally, the post holder may be required to supervise projects, act as personal/academic tutor, and undertake teaching administration (such as module leadership, assessment moderation, and academic quality / conduct).
Applicants should have experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. They should possess excellent verbal and communication skills, and be proficient in English Language. Applicants should apply a flexible and diligent approach to their role.
Applicants should have a good degree in Psychology or a related area. They should also have a PhD in a related area. It is desirable for the applicants to have Membership of the Higher Education Academy
