Salary: £31,931 to £55,288 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited from medically-qualified doctors in training who seek integrated academic and clinical training for a clinical academic career. This NIHR Academic Clinical Lectureship is open to applicants demonstrating outstanding potential for development as a clinical academic in Geriatric Medicine. The successful candidate in this NIHR funded Clinical Lectureship will work with internationally acclaimed research groups in the University of Nottingham's School of Medicine, in which they will be trained in the latest state-of-the-art techniques to improve health and well-being.

The successful candidate will be supported to develop an individual innovative and novel research programme leading to peer reviewed publications and research funding applications.

Candidates must be GMC registered with a license to practise, will already have a higher research degree (PhD or MD by research or equivalent) and fulfil all essential criteria on the appropriate person specifications. Candidates will be selected on academic merit and clinical academic potential.

The post will be offered for a period of four years (or a maximum of 6 years part-time, pro-rata) or until award of CCT in specialty, whichever is shortest.
