Crucial to achieving these ambitions is the creation of a new position: Director of Campus Infrastructure and Operational Support Services. Part of the Registrar’s Executive leadership team, this newly configured role is an opportunity for an experienced and visionary leader to deliver a £500m programme of capital investment and make a vital contribution to the strategic direction and future success of the University.
The new Director will develop an ambitious, energy-efficient Capital strategy, Estate strategy and IT and Digital strategy with a programme of investment whilst providing leadership and direction to the Campus, Estates and IT directorates. The successful applicant will have significant previous experience in managing infrastructure projects. S/he will bring a proven track record in leading and influencing change within a large, complex and agile environment, with the ability to contribute positively to organisational development at a strategic level.
Experience within a Higher Education environment is not essential. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a significant difference to the University and its strategic plans on one of the most beautiful and botanically interesting campuses of any UK University.
