Applications are invited for a Research Technician to work on the development of cellular treatments for macular degeneration, specifically manufacturing clinical grade therapeutics derived from stem cells. The successful applicant will carry out a wide range of duties including cell culture, molecular biology and cell biology techniques. The new post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary research team directed by Prof. Lyndon da Cruz and Prof. Pete Coffey.

The position is funded for a period of 2 years in the first instance, with work based at the Royal Free Hospital and UCL Institute of Ophthalmology in London.

The ideal candidate will have experience in pluripotent stem cell culture, immunocytochemistry and molecular biology. A degree in a relevant subject area and experience in laboratory-based research are desirable although candidates with other appropriate experience will also be considered.
