The Social Work Department sits within the Social Work, Community Development and Leadership, and Youth Studies/Youth Work Subject Area.
ABOUT THE POST
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic lecturer to join our Social Work team. We provide undergraduate and post graduate pre-qualifying social work education and training, as well as delivering a Practice Educators course. The candidate will be expected to teach on both the BSc and MSc programmes, as well as provide skills based training on the Readiness for Practice module. The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of high quality teaching and developing provision across the portfolio. Furthermore, you will support students throughout their placement journey (placements 1 and 2) as well as conducting quality assurance of placements. You will also be required to support the Social Work team in a wide range of activities, for example, service user and carer engagements, admissions days, marketing and recruitment, and fostering links with our key partners and practice stakeholders. The candidate must have at least a relevant social work qualification at Masters level and be registered as a social worker with HCPC. The candidate will also undergo and enhanced DBS clearance
