The principal aim of the post is to undertake a 16-month programme of work using linked administrative datasets to understand the relationship between poor mental health and suicide risk. This research is part of the work of the UKCRC funded Centre of Excellence for Public Health (CoE), which is one of five UK centres.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject such as social sciences, applied statistics, epidemiology, public health, pharmacy, economics or psychology and preferably demonstrable knowledge and experience of working with large administrative datasets. Competence in appropriate methodological approaches and statistical analysis is expected.
