To develop, lead and sustain research of international standard in Aerospace Systems particularly through vigorously pursuing opportunities to generate income and publish, to actively engage in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, and to play a key role in developing and executing School strategy, management and organisation.
The post will address one or more of the following key Aerospace science and technology development areas: i) aerospace simulation, control, synthetic environments, human factors & certification; ii) aerospace systems engineering & open architectures; iii) advanced aerospace autonomous & robotic systems; iv) aerospace health management & through life support; v) aircraft of the future: smart, connected and more electric aircraft.
Standard Terms & Conditions
The salary will be on the Research and Teaching Grade, level 7/8/9, £34,520- £38,833 / £42,418 - £49,149 / £50,618 - £56,950 per annum.
The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
All research and related activities, including grants, donations, clinical trials, contract research, consultancy and commercialisation are required to be managed through the University's relevant processes (e.g. contractual and financial), in accordance with the University Court's policies.
