The Oxford Martin Programme on Technological and Economic Change is seeking to appoint an established researcher with an international reputation and significant post qualification research experience to assist Professor Ian Goldin in leading and managing a large, multi-year research programme.

Based at the Oxford Martin School, Broad Street, Oxford, the Lead Researcher will contribute original insights into the impact of new technologies on economies, play a significant role in the design of research questions and methodologies for the research group, and communicate the results of the programme to academic and broader audiences. In addition, s/he will supervise and coordinate the work of other researchers, represent the programme to internal and external stakeholders, lead and initiate collaborations and partnerships and play an active leadership role.

This is a senior position and candidates must demonstrate that they possess: a PhD/DPhil in a subject relevant to the programme, an established international reputation and publication record, including with relevant existing literature and research in the subject of the programme, a record of research leadership, including with raising research funds and successful grant applications, the proven ability to develop research projects and lead other researchers, ability to independently manage research activities, including experience of budget and other accountabilities, and excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text that can be published, present data at conferences, and represent the research network at meetings.

This post is fixed-term for 3 years; it is hoped the successful applicant will start as soon as possible.
