A postdoctoral research position is available for an outstanding individual to work in the research group of Professor. Polly Arnold, as part of a team investigating bonding, intermolecular interactions, and reactivity in organometallic rare earth and actinide complexes.
The work forms part of an ERC-funded project entitled “f-block hydrocarbon interactions: exploration; exploitation”. This blue-skies project aims to experimentally measure and define the subtle interactions between f-block cations and hydrocarbons that can be made, and are present, in a range of molecular compounds of the 4f and 5f elements.
This post is fixed-term for 3 years.
