We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Single Cell Systems Biology and Mass Cytometry (CyTOF) to join the team of Professor Udo Oppermann in the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, based at The Botnar Research Centre, University of Oxford.

As Postdoctoral Researcher in Single Cell Systems Biology and Mass Cytometry you will join an interdisciplinary team of scientists and clinical researchers working in the field of epigenetics, inflammation and cancer and you will be responsible for running CyTOF experiments using Helios system and analysis of CyTOF data using Cytobank and/or R. You will manage your own academic research, test hypotheses and analyse scientific data from a variety of sources as well as develop ideas for generating research income and present detailed research proposals to senior researchers.

You will hold a PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in biochemistry or molecular biology or related field and you will have documented experience of analysis of flow cytometry and CyTOF data. An excellent proficiency with FlowJo software and experience in basic molecular techniques are essential, as is an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and independently as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. Experience with using R programming language, developing R packages, immunoprecipitation techniques as well as knowledge of stem cell biology, immunology and bone biology are desirable.

This is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 2 years with the possibility of extension.
