About the role
We are seeking an organised and pro-active professional to work in support of the delivery of IT projects for both new solutions and enhancements to existing technology. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing business processes and gathering requirements for new technical developments. This role encompasses the process of moving from concept to design, including specifying, designing and overseeing the delivery of new system products, and helping to ensure that developments are fit for purpose. This is a key role for the ICT department helping to ensure that IT projects deliver quantifiable benefits to the University’s stakeholders.
The role is based within the IT Project Management Office, within the ICT Department. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the University. Experience of gathering requirements for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), E-Commerce, Identity and Access Management, Property and Asset Management solutions and/or knowledge of the SITS:Vision student record system and Learning Management Systems (LMS) would be advantageous.
About you
To succeed in this role you will have experience of analysing and documenting complex business processes, requirements gathering for large-scale IT developments, and liaising with colleagues to design IT solutions that meet the needs of those using the systems. Political awareness, coupled with the ability to relate to, and appreciate the needs of, stakeholders is a must.
A confident team player, you will hold exceptional all-round communication and interpersonal skills, alongside excellent attention to detail. You will be pro-active in contributing ideas, identifying opportunities for enhancement and owning and resolving problems to their conclusion.
