Loughborough's Research Office and Loughborough University London are seeking a Research Development Manager to help secure significant research funding in order to grow the University's work in establishing the Global Disability Innovation Hub on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

The Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDIH) is a collaborative organisation, born out of the legacy of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Bringing together partners connected to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it works with local communities, academics, experts and disabled people to drive innovation, through co-design and creative thinking. As a founding partner of the Global Disability Innovation hub Loughborough University alongside the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), University College London (UCL), University of the Arts London (UAL), Sadlers Wells, the Victoria and Albert museum, Leonard Cheshire and the Helen Hamlyn centre for design LU LDN is committed to supporting the establishment of a collaborative multi-disciplinary Research Centre focusing on innovative research around disability issues. https://www.disabilityinnovation.com/

The role is part of a growing team supporting our ambitious new plans for research known as the CALIBRE (Collective Ambition at Loughborough for Building Research Excellence) framework. CALIBRE is an inclusive, comprehensive and forward-looking articulation of the research component of the University's Building Excellence strategy. The post holder will play a key role in developing research collaborations, supporting major and strategic applications, improving success rates, and securing research funding across the GDIH partnership.

We are looking for a pro-active individual with excellent communication and influencing skills that is highly organised and can demonstrate experience of networking with key stakeholders including research funders.
