The salary will be paid at £49,772 - £57,674 per annum plus £2,923 London Allowance per annum. The salary is to be settled by negotiation based on relevant qualifications. This is a full-time post and will be an indefinite appointment.

Kings College London, in tandem with the UK Dementia Research Institute, is making a major investment in Dementia and Neurodegeneration research with several new Principal Investigator Posts and Fellowships. We are looking to appoint up to three exceptional Neuroscientists who share our ambition to make KCL one of the world’s leading centres for Dementia and Neurodegeneration Research. They will be based in the newly built Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute. The post(s) will be supported by a competitive start-up package and a significant equipment budget.

Applications are welcomed from Investigators whose work focuses on exploring fundamental disease mechanisms, preclinical studies and fully translational intervention across all aspects of Dementia and other Neurodegenerative disorders. Collaborative links to biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries are welcome. Ultimately, success will be measured by high impact publication output, success in attracting research funding, contribution to teaching and the scientific strategy of the Department.

The selection process will include a presentation and panel interview, and may include a formal lecture to members of the university.
