Job summary
The Careers Service & Industry Relationship Specialist will be working closely on managing of high level of service for our students and Alumni as well as ensuring that Istituto Marangoni’s reputation is continually maintained to the highest standards.
The purpose of the job is to assist the Careers Manager with industry relationship management, working alongside to build and strengthen relationships as well as explore new leads opportunities.
Key purpose of the role
- To provide assistance to students before and during placements and respond to industry enquiries
- To support the Careers Service & Industry Relationship Manager with research for potential new links and industry relationships as well as Local employment regulations
- To act as first point of contact and general advisor for students with placement enquires
- To assist in giving presentations about employability and provide basic careers guidance, feedback on CVs and covering letters and interview techniques
- To review internship and job postings, advertise them to students, arrange and follow up on interviews
- To create periodical reports required by Careers Service & Industry Relationship Manager
- To assist in the organization and running of events, workshops, programmes etc…
- To regularly update the careers service’s database
Education and skills
- Bachelors Degree (preferably in Human Resources/ Psychology/ Intercultural Communication)
- Good problem solving, time management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of flexibility
- Genuine interest in new practices for continual improvement of Career Services, from digital platforms to creative ways of communicating
- Awareness of, as well as previous experience in the Fashion and Design Industry preferably in the recruitment area
- Knowledge of Italian language would be an advantage
