The role

The Placement Manager is responsible for working with Placement Tutors to ensure work placements and internships at LCC are delivered effectively and in line with university placement policy and procedure. 

The post holder will also work to identify, implement and embed enhancement initiatives to improve the student experience of placements. The role involves: the production of materials & resources to support students and staff; the gathering and analysis of placement data; leading the Placement Forum and the reporting to college committees and other fora. 

The post holder will work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams across the college and with the Careers & Employability Service and International Department.

Your profile

You will be educated to undergraduate degree level and have knowledge and experience of the management of quality assurance and enhancement processes within Higher Education. 

You will have a good understanding of issues and debates relating to placement learning and of the quality management processes relating to this. You will be experienced in gathering and evaluating data and of producing materials that support both staff and students. 

You will be an effective communicator and able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams across an organisation. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to improve the student experience through your contribution to enhancement activities.
