Description
Medipathways College is an independent higher education provider, based in central London, specialising in the provision of medically-focused degree courses. We deliver the UK’s first 2-year BSc in Biomedical Sciences designed to prepare students for entry into graduate medical or dental schools. Our degree is validated by the University of Buckingham.
We are recruiting flexible student-focused tutors to develop and teach Biomedical Science modules across levels 3 to 6 (foundation year to BSc), starting in September 2017. Priority curriculum areas include microbiology, cellular pathology, general pathology, oral physiology, foundation biology, and patient-doctor/health studies.
Person specification:
Essential:
- Teaching experience in Higher Education
- PhD or equivalent academic/clinical experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good rapport with staff and students
Desirable: some of the following -
- Teacher training / qualification
- Experience in setting and marking assessments
- Familiarity with VLE use
- Medical/dental school admissions experience
- Clinical experience
- Postdoctoral experience
