We are seeking to appoint a part-time hourly lecturer with strong background in the social, cultural, historical and ethical aspects of Textile Design. You will be an experienced researcher and writer, ideally from a design practice background, who is able to engage and enthuse design students with the research elements of the course. You will be organised and efficient in assisting the Course Leader to deliver a high quality student experience.

The role involves preparing and delivering taught sessions including lectures and workshops and conducting some assessment for year 1 and 2 students to develop their understanding of the histories and theories of Textile Design and support their ability to research, analyse and communicate findings through written assignments.

The successful candidate will have experience of the teaching and learning requirements within a Higher Education environment and a strong understanding of teaching in a creative environment.
