UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the role of Senior Lecturer in Physiology. The Department of Physiology, University College Cork is a constituent unit in the School of Medicine, within the College of Medicine & Health. The Department is strongly committed to teaching & learning, with a flagship undergraduate programme (BSc Physiology), and formal contributions to several allied health degree programmes at UCC. The Department has strength in the diversity of its research activities, which span the breadth of the discipline, from molecular and cell biology through reduced experimental approaches, to integrative whole animal and human studies, with interests spanning many organ systems and human diseases, in addition to other interests.
