Applications are invited for a Lecturer in the Centre for Environmental Policy CEP , based at Imperial College South Kensington campus. The post holder will provide expertise in environmental sustainability, with a focus on environmental and/or ecological resource management.

The post holder will undertake research scholarship and specialist teaching in collaboration with other staff based within the Centre and across the College. They will also participate in the development and management of the Environmental Resource Management Option of the MSc in Environmental Technology, contribute to other teaching across the Centre, and perform related administrative/management tasks.

You must have a PhD or equivalent in disciplines complementary to the CEP main research interests, together with experience of working in an area of sustainability and environmental resource management. A record of research in the field of science, policy and sustainability, underpinned by a relevant list of publications commensurate with the level of experience is essential. You will also have a proven ability to conduct and publish high impact research related to some of the Centre’s core research themes www.imperial.ac.uk/environmental-policy/research and a successful track record in securing research funding in relevant areas of environmental science policy and sustainability. Experience of, and interest in, working at the science/engineering-regularly/policy interface is also essential.

You will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to a range of audiences through a variety of methods and media. You must have the ability to lead a research team and manage its finances and staff. You must also have experience of teaching at postgraduate level, and be able give clear, interesting and enthusiastic presentations and lectures in an area relating to environmental resource management and/or ecology and/or conservation, and their interactions with regulation and policy, is also essential. 

This is a fixed term position for up to 4 years.
