Detail information about job Stakeholder Engagement Manager. Terms and conditions vacancy

South Kensington Campus

Fixed Term: 2 years – full time

We are looking for a dedicated Stakeholder Engagement Manager to focus exclusively on developing strong and meaningful stakeholder networks, initially around two of our more developed engagement themes: decarbonisation pathways and the potential application of satellite technology.

Building on existing work and planning, the postholder will be responsible for generating a programme of activity that will identify dissemination routes for current research findings, as well as help steer new research initiatives. They will manage a depth of relationships that enable increased impact from Imperial research activities, informing decision-making in business, policy and the third sector. The postholder will work closely with the communications team to ensure the visibility of policy relevant material and to report on the programmes’ outputs and impacts. They will also develop a wider view of initiatives taking place in the policy and business spheres, creating links wherever possible to broaden the Institute’s reach and increase the visibility of our activities.

You must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant aspect of natural or environmental science. You will also have expertise/understanding in at least one thematic area (decarbonisation pathways or the potential application of satellite technology) to facilitate the building of credibility and relations with academic, policy and industry leaders. Comprehension of the UK stakeholder policy landscape as relevant to these issues, as well as knowledge of climate change and environmental matters is also essential. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of relationship management, including business and government stakeholder engagement and the development of new opportunities, as well as experience of managing people and influencing the successful delivery of outputs, including engaging and directing complex groups of stakeholders and suppliers. You must have experience of working with communications teams to develop models to deliver strong web and social media presences. An understanding of the UK academic community is desirable.

Our preferred method of application is online via our website: http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/employment (please select “Job Search” then enter the job title or vacancy reference number NS2017146NT into “Keywords”). Please complete and upload an application form as directed.
