Applications are invited for a temporary 5 year appointment as Dean and Head of School, UCD School of Medicine.
The role of Dean and Head of School is one of the most important and challenging academic leadership positions in the University. The success of the University is crucially dependent on the calibre of our Heads of School.
Working in partnership with and reporting to the College Principal, the Dean and Head of School is responsible for the provision of strategic and executive leadership to the School. The key responsibility of the office holder is ensuring the School’s education, research and innovation goals and to develop and implement strategies to successful deliver on these objectives
To allow a Dean and Head of School to have significant influence on the strategic direction and performance of the School, the normal term for a Head of School will be 5 years, with the possibility of renewal in certain circumstances.
Salary: This is a senior academic appointment at the level of Head of School within UCD. Remuneration will be at the approved Professorial level.
