Interview Date: Thursday 26 October 2017

The University of Surrey is a global university with a world-class research profile and an enterprising and forward-thinking spirit. The University of Surrey has risen in all major league tables for UK universities, and is proud to have been named University of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016. We’ve been placed fourth in the UK for the second successive year in the Guardian University Guide for 2017, and moved up to eighth place in the Complete University Guide 2016.

Surrey Business School (SBS) is an internationally recognised centre for management research and teaching that is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). We run undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a range of management disciplines. We are seeking exceptional researchers in the area of People and Organisation at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. Applicants should have outstanding research and teaching capabilities and be able to contribute to the School’s interdisciplinary teaching and research mission.

The Department for People and Organizations at Surrey Business School is a leading centre for research in Work and Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organizational Behaviour. Our faculty conduct world-leading research in our core areas of leadership and group processes, HR assessment and performance, and quality of working life. We apply our research in our work with students and businesses to develop the next generation of evidence-based leaders and practitioners.

At Lecturer and Senior Lecturer level, we expect an excellent record of scholarship and research of international significance, demonstrated by a strong publication profile and pipeline commensurate with experience, and the capability to generate research funding.

Successful candidates will find the People and Organizations Department to be a positive, supportive, collaborative, and highly productive environment within which to develop their research and careers. All staff in the Department are expected to contribute to research, teaching and business engagement activity.

This is a period of exciting development and opportunity for Surrey Business School; the successful candidates will participate in developing innovative approaches to research, teaching and strategy that contribute to achieving our goal of becoming a leading interdisciplinary business school.

We can offer a generous remuneration package, which includes relocation assistance where appropriate, funding for conference attendance, the latest teaching facilities, and access to a variety of staff development opportunities.

Informal enquires should be directed in the first instance to the Head of the People and Organizations Department, Professor Stephen A. Woods ([email protected]).
