The Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is seeking a pro-active and meticulous Data Manager for research studies within the Endometriosis CaRe Centre, Oxford, into the two most common gynaecological conditions affecting women of reproductive age: endometriosis and uterine fibroids.

Our studies ENDOX and FENOX are the basis of our internationally collaborative research programmes, and involve the recruitment of women assessed for symptoms suggestive of endometriosis and/or uterine fibroids at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Participants are asked to complete detailed questionnaires and provide biological samples using standardised data collection instruments and protocols - the global development of which our team has led.

You will be responsible for overall data collection and management in ENDOX and FENOX, including the further development of data entry systems, formatting and piloting of data collection forms, data entry, quality control, preparation of datasets as required, and management of the Centre’s website.

You will have a relevant degree that includes experience in database development, management and/or analysis (e.g. epidemiology, computational science, statistics, bioinformatics), strong analytical and computer skills as well as proven organisational skills and efficient time management. You will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who is keen to take initiative, and you will have a methodical approach to work.

This post is part-time (18.75 hours/0.5FTE) and fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance.

You will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 11 September 2017.

Interviews are expected to take place on Thursday 21 September 2017.
