Portsmouth Law School is an ambitious and fast-growing School. It currently comprises 35 members of staff (FTE). Many members of staff are professionally qualified and the School has strong links with the legal profession and with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Portsmouth Law School is an established provider of undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees and has a growing reputation for the breadth of its clinical legal education. We have a thriving and supportive research culture that will encourage the successful candidate to pursue their research ambitions.
We have a position at Senior Lecturer level and applications are invited from candidates with the ability to teach at least one of the foundation subjects and extensive teaching experience across a variety of subjects.
The School would welcome applications from those who have a strong track record in research, including those with substantial and recent professional experience. You will be expected to make a contribution to Portsmouth Law School’s research profile and planned REF submission. You will have drive and enthusiasm and an innovative approach to research, learning and teaching.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have an ambition to achieve promotion to readership within the next three to five years, by demonstrating their academic leadership and achievement in either enterprise and innovation, research, or teaching and education.
