Tsinghua Advanced Innovation Fellow Program is an internationally competitive post-doctoral fellowship program in the newly established Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Structure Biology (ICSB), Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. With a world-class cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) facility as the foundation, the aspiration of ICSB is to develop cutting-edge technology and methodology related to structural biology, including but not limited to cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, and biomolecular NMR spectroscopy, and to apply advanced technology to the most challenging research problems in life sciences. ICSB aims to support not just biological and biomedical research but also interdisciplinary technology development. Highly motivated individuals with a dream in research are encouraged to apply. Basic requirements for the applicants
- PhD degree in mathematics, chemistry, physics, material sciences, computer sciences, engineering, or biological sciences (structural biology);
- Candidates with expertise in the following areas will be preferred:
- Scientific computing, algorithm design and implementation;
- C/C++ programming on Windows and Linux operating system, VC++ and QT programming tools, Shell scripting language, parallel computing based on HPC clusters or GPUs;
- Cryo-EM operation and electron optics;
- 3D reconstruction algorithm of cryo-EM (single particle or cryo-tomography);
- Nano material sciences, surfacechemistry, micro-fluidic technique or precise instrument design and processing technology;
- X-ray crystallography, X-ray diffraction phase retrieval methodology development, electron diffraction analysis and structural analysis
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
