The Department of Politics & International Relations is ranked 10th in the U.K. in research intensity. It is home to six research centres:

  • Centre for International Public Policy
  • Centre for Islamic & West Asian Studies
  • Centre for Politics of Africa, Asia & the Middle East
  • Contemporary Political Theory Research Group
  • Democracy and Elections Unit
  • New Political Communication Unit

We welcome applications from political communication scholars whose research and teaching lie within domestic and/or international politics. We seek candidates with specialisms in digital politics, political journalism, election campaigning, public diplomacy, and international communication. We welcome candidate who can do research on political communication in comparative and/or regional perspective. Candidates should offer a demonstrable record of or a clear path towards achieving world-class research using different methods. The ability to conduct research using computational social science methods is an advantage but not necessary.

This is a full time and permanent post, available from January 2018. This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
