Salary: £34,956 to £46,924 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
This post is based within the Respiratory Theme of the Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), part of a £23.6 NIHR to Nottingham. The purpose of this post is to find an Epidemiologist/Medical Statistician who will help to support research within the BRC but will also work to develop their own research themes in translational research studies in lung disease. A background in biomarker research is advantageous. The role holder will be required to supervise clinical and non-clinical doctoral students, master students and undergraduate studies.
The candidate should have competed a PhD and demonstate evidence of academic excellence in terms of publications abd expereice in contributing to grant applications. The post holder will make a significant contribution to their academic unit via leadership and/or administrative management and/or teaching and/or co-ordination of specific initiatives.
Applicants should have excellent IT skills, good team working skills and able to work flexibly.
This is a full time post, open to part time (minimim 29h per week) post and will be offered on a fixed term contract from 1st October 2017 to 30th September 2020.
