Bird College is seeking to recruit a full-time Academic and Assessments Coordinator to work within the Assessments department. This is a key role, and the Academic and Assessments Coordinator is a member of the Management Group, Academic Board and Programme Boards and manages the academic department at the college. This is a ‘hands on’ role to ensure the effective management of assessments and academic components on the BA (Hons) and Diploma Programmes at the College.
The successful applicant will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification. They will possess excellent organisational, customer service, IT, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and to work as part of a team.
They will also have an ability to plan and prioritise their own workload, work to tight deadlines and be prepared to work flexibly according to the needs ofthe College.
The post is full-time and fixed-term for 12 months, starting at the end of September 2017 (or as soon as possible thereafter). The post is a result of maternity leave and it is expected that the successful candidate will hold it for the full period.
The post may be particularly suited to those undertaking a PhD or postdoc, and applications for part-time working would also be considered.
