We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Training and Development Manager to provide oversight of the Department of Oncology’s graduate programmes and develop new initiatives to support the clinical and non-clinical training strategies of the Department of Oncology and the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology. The role encompasses graduate and postgraduate training for both clinical and non-clinical students and research staff.
As the Research Training and Development Manager, you will be the departmental representative for all education related matters. The activities developed by this post will be intrinsically linked to the Department’s Athena SWAN programme and will involve interaction and communication with members of the department at all levels.
You should be educated to degree level with experience of working in higher education and an understanding of graduate administration and funding. You will also require demonstrable previous experience of dealing with student matters, including the provision of advice and guidance to senior managers. You will also have demonstrable ability to think strategically, including the ability to develop and implement appropriate strategies, policies, and standard operating procedures.
This is a full-time post and is available for 3 years in the first instance.
