An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (50% FTE, 17.5 hours per week) highly motivated research associate to develop and trial ultrasound test objects for the objective assessment of ultrasound image quality to enhance the commercial development cycle of veterinary ultrasound scanners. The project is funded by Censis (Centre for Sensor and Imaging Systems) and is funded for one year. The person will be principally based in the Centre for Cardiovascular Science (Principal Investigator: Dr Carmel M Moran), but will spend blocks of time at BCF Technology, Bellshill, Scotland, our joint partners on this project. The post will commence in September 2017 and run until 31 August 2018. The position offers the post-holder the opportunity to be supported and mentored as an early career researcher.
