Job overview:

UWE Bristol is an ambitious institution with a focus on the future. We understand that the landscape of Higher Education is changing fast and we’re passionate about embracing new opportunities and taking the lead.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic senior project manager to deliver projects within the Student Information System (SIS) Programme. This is an ambitious, high profile strategic business transformation programme to dramatically enhance the services and support provided to students and staff, enabled by new technology and ways of working. The programme will comprise a number of projects to provide the capabilities needed to effect this transformation across the student journey from enquiry through to graduation and alumni.

The overall programme is the most significant, far-reaching programme of change undertaken within UWE for many years and represents a multi-million pound investment. A high calibre senior project manager will be central to the achievement of the programme objectives and realisation of the benefits that underpin this investment.

These are exciting and challenging roles working within the newly formed SIS Programme team, and with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver a major component of the University’s 2020 Strategy.

You will have demonstrated a strong track record in successful delivery of projects at a senior level with a mix of business change and process improvement alongside technology-based solutions. Experience of effective programme and project management within a University Student Information System context would be an advantage.

The SIS Programme is one of several strategic programmes coordinated and supported by the Strategic Programmes Office led by the Director of Strategic Programmes. You would be required to work across the portfolio of projects and programmes as required.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give our students access to everything they need to succeed – with £200m being spent on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation between now and 2020 to enhance our offer even further. Frenchay campus is within close proximity to excellent motorway links and within walking distance of two train stations, making UWE Frenchay Campus the ideal place to work for those wishing to commute to Bristol.

You will work in an environment where talent and career aspirations are nurtured and supported.

In addition to progressive pay rates, UWE Bristol offers a wide range of staff benefits:

  • A generous holiday allowance of 27 days.
  • Up to 12.5 bank holiday/closure days per year.
  • Flexible working.
  • Excellent pension schemes.
  • Option to participate in the cycle to work scheme.
  • Family friendly policies including an onsite nursery at our Frenchay Campus with an option to purchase childcare vouchers.

UWE is committed to equality and values diversity; to work for an employer that aspires to achieve excellence through inclusion.
