The University now seeks to appoint the following post:
- Lecturer in Sport Development OR Sport Management within the School of Social and Health Sciences.
The School of Social and Health Sciences delivers programmes and applied research in the areas of mental health nursing and counselling, psychology, sociology, and sport and exercise. There has been significant growth in the School’s research output in recent years. The School is now further developing its provision as well as establishing a centre of excellence in mental health nursing and the Dundee Academy of Sport.
Reporting to the Head of Division (Sport and Exercise Science), you will undertake teaching, research and administrative tasks as required by the Head of Division. These roles require candidates to work both independently and collegiately and be able to demonstrate good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and have an ability to take initiative.
The Division has a preference for applicants who have expertise and research within the area of Sport Development or Sport Management. Experience in teaching across other areas of sport & exercise would be desirable. Also, experience of teaching students entering degrees with advanced standing from college would be advantageous.
