The Dementia Care Centre (DCC) is one of a number of new research centres at the University of West London. The DCC is led by Professor Victoria Tischler and focuses upon innovative and creative approaches to dementia care, with ambitious plans to become a world leader in this area of study.

This position is a key appointment, working with Professor Tischler to build research and teaching activity in the Centre. Research activity will use a transdisciplinary approach to develop, implement and evaluate high quality activities that promote creative and multi-sensory approaches to dementia care.

Teaching focuses on a portfolio of accredited training that offers bespoke courses to meet the needs of a diverse workforce delivering dementia care. This includes a new, externally validated Masters in Dementia Care and a Higher Apprenticeship training.

The candidate should have knowledge of policy and professional priorities in the field of dementia care, evidence of dementia-related research activity, and experience of interdisciplinary working.

They will be highly motivated and a creative thinker, with exceptional communication and teaching skills, and an understanding of the context of dementia care provision and research-informed practice.
