Learning Support Manager

Full Time Post: 36.25 hours per week

Salary: £34,521 - £39,993 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Manager to manage our Disability & SpLD team and  deliver specialist services at our Farnham campus. 

You will be responsible for the operational delivery and review of services to disabled students, including managing a team of Learning Mentors and Learning Support Assistants. You will work with individual students, needs assessors, academics and the wider Library & Student Services department to ensure UCA students are provided with innovative, inclusive and enabling solutions. 

As part of the University’s mission to be inclusive, an ambitious and challenging 2 year project is being undertaken and this role will also be expected to assist in its successful management and delivery.  The post holder will support the enhancement of learning, teaching and assessment practice for students with disabilities and may be required to manage and engage in action research activities across a team of Learning Support Co-ordinators to identify and achieve inclusive solutions in studio, workshop and classroom settings.  To support these activities, you will need good awareness of sector practice in Further Education and/or Higher Education, be skilled at working with and facilitating the learning of students with disabilities and have the ability to be academic-facing, working in partnership with teaching and technical staff to enhance inclusive teaching and learning practice.
