This post is advertised in conjunction with R170397 (Lecturer in Anatomy). Please note that there is one post available; an appointment will be made at either Lecturer/Senior Lecturer or Reader. Your application will only be considered for the post that you have applied for.

One post is available and will be appointed to the appropriate level depending on qualifications and experience.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled anatomy educator to lead the design, management and delivery of an innovative anatomy and embryology curriculum in our recently established Medical School. The educational contribution will focus initially on Years 1 and 2 of the medical programme but may develop into the later years of the undergraduate programme and new postgraduate programmes depending on the needs and aspirations of the School. Our vision is to deliver highly interactive learning experiences for students through use of learning technology, imaging and models, with the emphasis on clinical relevance. Teaching commitments are likely to include large and small group lecturing and workshops, and online teaching and tutoring. We do not plan to use cadaveric dissection or prosections routinely but short visits to view these may be possible.

There are also opportunities for collaborative research in medical education or other groups within the Medical School.

We are looking for a leader with a track record of scholarly educational development and delivery, a passion for enabling student learning in anatomy, and an enthusiasm for cross-discipline working with colleagues in the University and NHS to deliver integrated sessions of high quality.

We will make an appointment at the most suitable point on the academic scale from Lecturer to Reader depending on qualifications and experience.

We encourage informal discussion of the post after shortlisting, please contact:
