Prescient has an opening for a German-speaking Research Analyst to be based out of our London office.

Job Description

The candidate will play an integral role in executing consultancy engagements commissioned by Prescient’s biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical clients. These will be achieved through effective collection and analysis of market, competitor and stakeholder information. 

The candidate will have a degree in biomedical or pharmaceutical sciences and basic understanding of drug development or commercialisation. Proficiency in German language is essential. He or she will be a high-energy and results-oriented individual with a creative and analytical mind who has the ability and desire to source relevant insights through secondary data analytics and human-source evidence gathering. He or she must also possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to operate effectively as part of a global team. The candidate should have the ability to learn quickly and have an excellent eye for detail.

Responsibilities

As an Associate within our general practice, the primary focus will be on:

• Human-Source Evidence Gathering: Collecting market, competitor and stakeholder evidence through desk-based interviewing and elicitation
• Secondary Data Analytics: Sourcing, analysing and reporting public domain information, be it scientific, clinical, commercial, corporate or market
• Conference Coverage: Attending key conferences with the objective of speaking to a wide range of delegates on predetermined topics and attending key symposia, presentations, posters and booths
• Analysis and Reporting: Working with other members of the project team to analyse findings, develop conclusions and recommendations and create client presentations that deliver a linear evidence-based story on the topics in focus

The candidate will spend 80% of his or her time in the local office, but will be required to undertake interoffice travel, client visits and attend conferences. He or she will report to a senior executive at the London office.

Required Experience and Training

The preferred candidate will have:

• A degree in biomedical or pharmaceutical sciences and basic understanding of drug development or commercialisation
• Proficiency in German
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel

Experience gained from within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, academia or consultancy organisations would be advantageous.
