Building on this success, the Accounting Discipline Group is seeking to make an appointment at either the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level with a primary teaching and research interest in management accounting. 

Drawing on your well-honed teaching skills and knowledge of current professional and management accounting issues you will facilitate the interaction between new academic ideas and professional practice in your teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects. 

In this role you will also be provided with ample opportunities to undertake research and make an active contribution to the work and curriculum development of the Discipline Group. 

Reflecting this commitment the Discipline Group focuses on:

  • Attracting international distinguished visiting scholars
  • Providing extensive research infrastructure, internal research grants and travel support
  • Sponsorship of its high profile Summer Symposium. 

To be appointed at Lecturer level, you will have completed a PhD and have a number of research working papers and/or journal publications and the ability to publish in high quality accounting journals. 

To be appointed at Senior Lecturer level, you will have completed a PhD; have experience in lecturing and coordinating management accounting subjects; and have multiple publications in quality internationally recognised peer reviewed journals. 

All applicants should be eligible for membership of either the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia (or overseas equivalent recognised by the Australian professional bodies). 

Base Salary Range: $99,924 to $135,725 pa (Level B to C )

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities. 

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
