Outstanding applicants are sought for the post of Reader (Associate Professor) in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Bath, UK. This open-ended, full-time post is a fast track opportunity for promotion to (Full) Professor. Our new Reader will provide inspirational research excellence and leadership in the Department in any area of Membrane Science and Technology.

The successful applicant will have undergraduate and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering or very closely-related disciplines. They will have extensive relevant experience in an academic (and possibly also an industrial or other professional) environment, an international outlook and reputation, a substantial publications record, and be able to make significant scholarly contributions based on research excellence, integrity and impact that fits the Department's dynamic and ambitious Centre for Advanced Separations Engineering (CASE). They will also show evidence of winning and delivering on major research grants and programmes, and successful supervision of research students and staff. Capability and willingness to teach and manage Chemical Engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including in design, are also required.

Selection Process

The outline will have a strong focus on research, including funding sources, but should also briefly cover teaching.
