Murray Edwards College is seeking to appoint a Deputy Development Director to its Development team to provide management for key team members and raise funds for the College from a variety of sources including alumnae and other donors.

This role line manages 4 team Development Officers / Assistants and reports to the Development Director. It also works closely with College staff including the President and Fellows.

Applicants will need to be educated to first-degree level or higher (or an equivalent level of professional experience) and have a background in fundraising, alumni relations or member relations – or similar client management or senior customer relations role. Strong and proven line management capabilities are a pre-requisite (preferably of a team with varying roles), as is experience of overseeing and/or the management and delivery of events.

The post holder will to have an understanding of the Cambridge Collegiate University environment, excellent communication and organisational skills and attention to detail, as well as energy, creativity and professionalism and the ability to work well with and secure the confidence of a wide range of people.

The salary for this role will be fixed between £33,000 - £35,000, dependent on fulfilling the skills, qualifications and experience required in the role.
