This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate with the ability and confidence to manage a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with INOV-8 UK.
The University of Manchester and INOV-8 are looking to recruit a Materials Engineer to undertake this 33 month project which has an overall aim of developing graphene-reinforced composite materials for footwear applications.
The position will provide you with a unique opportunity to work with state of the art nano-composite materials for application in all-terrain footwear.
Candidates will require a PhD Degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related disciplines. Additional research experience in graphene and related materials and/or rubber and other elastic polymer materials is desirable.
This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.
Based at INOV-8 in Stavely, Cumbria, you will work directly with supervisors from both the University and INOV-8 and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations.
