The University of Bedfordshire Business School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management to provide an innovative and exciting learning experience for our students in this popular field of study. You will lead, develop and contribute towards teaching delivery and curriculum enhancement across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the tourism, hospitality, events, international tourism and associated portfolios.

Department of International Business, Marketing and Tourism

Within the Business School, our new Department of International Business, Marketing and Tourism reflects the School's established strengths in international business, tourism, marketing, communications management, intercultural relations and international relations management. New developments in aviation and airport management and the delivery of higher and degree apprenticeships have presented an opportunity to reposition the Department to meet the needs of graduates and employers both locally and regionally, as well as overseas where we deliver a number of courses with partner institutions. Our research is world leading in some fields such as sustainable tourism, heritage and cultural management, and our staff are committed to delivering research informed teaching aimed at producing job ready graduates.

We are seeking an inspirational academic to take our tourism management portfolio to the next level. You will develop and teach on a range of tourism management and related courses across our undergraduate and postgraduate degree portfolio and across our distributed campuses. Applications are particularly welcome from individuals with expertise in tourism management and/or tourism marketing, international tourism, sustainable tourism management, international business & tourism, heritage and cultural tourism management.

With a PhD or equivalent experience in an appropriate subject area. Working with a team within the Department, your specialist knowledge and expertise will drive curriculum change and enhance our engagement within the tourism industries at local, regional and international level.
