The University of Oxford has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and motivated systems analyst/trainer to support the delivery of the DARS (Development and Alumni Relations System) programme that underpins the University’s £3bn fundraising campaign – Oxford Thinking (www.campaign.ox.ac.uk).
The successful candidate will establish themselves as a Subject Matter Expert in the use of DARS and will develop processes, best practice and training resources that support our relationship management, fundraising, gift processing, communications, events and web presence activities.
The role will involve: engaging with the user community to align system processes with business requirements; analysing data and system use to make recommendations for future improvements; designing and delivering a range of training courses and support resources; promoting best practice and compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in learning and development or business/systems analysis – preferably with a formal qualification in at least one of these areas.
You will have a proven track record of using ingenuity when problem-solving, proactive in thinking ‘outside of the box’ to make recommendations to the DARS management team and work well unsupervised.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to understand processes at a detailed operational level, how they support and relate to higher level business activities and communicate these to a range of internal and external audiences.
This post is part of a pilot scheme testing a new Supporting Evidence form in place of the more usual ‘supporting statement’. Please ensure that you carefully read the How to Apply section provided in the Job Description, which you can download below along with the required Supporting Evidence form.”
