Leeds Law School provides a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses and has a long track record of achievement and ensuring student success. In all our activities we ensure excellence in teaching and learning and student experience; our 2016 NSS overall student satisfaction rate of 91% is testament to this.

Leeds Law School is investing in academic provision and seeking to appoint an academic member of staff at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level to join our team.  We are looking for an enthusiastic academic to make a key contribution to our provision through teaching, research and enterprise.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and should have experience of teaching at least 2 of the foundation subjects; it would be a distinct advantage if candidates could teach on property, equity and trusts, family or criminal law.

Applicants must be research active, preferably in any of the following areas:

  • International Human Rights
  • Terrorism
  • Legal Education

Those applying for Senior Lecturer role should have significant educational administrative experience and been involved with drafting research bids.  Applicants must also possess a doctorate and have a commitment to provide high quality teaching at all levels.  Occasional overseas travel may be required.
